B.Fire servers ?

Hi B.fire dudes. I proposed to Z0rn to help you to make your own server. First : do you want server(s) ? Second : do you want help ? Third : If yes, wich mode you want ? .... may others questions will come after Ah yes, if you need help, wich who i make it ? It will be a pleasure to help you if needed

The main question is, do you have a place to host it 24/7? If not making a clanserver is useless

I think is in Romania a host for 1 euro , i can pay for it if i find it again

Ok, I have an idea for a mode... If it's possible to make a new one. My idea is a ctf/dm server with:
Basic
- grappling hook;
- rocket launcher;
Bonus
- granades ( secondary fire or wheel up/down and primary fire ( so like an another gun ));
- 1 megabomb ( wheel up/down and primary fire ( so like an another gun ));
- life leaved by enemies dead like TBC minsta server;
Ammo
- same number of ammo of ctf/dm minsta;
Problems
- secondary fire jump....
Tell me what you think and ask if you don't understand...

You are willing to implement stuff that requires new models as well, that i'm afraid isn't possible. I only use stuff that allready is implemented in nexuiz, i don't write my own mods i just combine setting together to create new stuff. However there is a possiblity for grenades because there is a grenade launcher. Sadly that only gives you 1 type of grenade but it can be modified completely: the damage, the range,...

This is completely up to you how much ammo you wish to give per gun. I do like to point out that if you will need to modify every map because otherwise people will be able to pickup other guns as well since you aren't using the minsta gun.

Yes i'm sure there is one like that but thats not a vps or a dedicated machine. Thats just to host a website Otherwise every person on nexuiz would buy their vps and or dedicated machine in Romania because it would be ultra cheap. The real prices you are looking at for a VPS, a decent VPS, is 7-10 Euro/month or more.

To explain the prize thing a bit more. Take for example this website: http://www.xservers.ro/ You see 'Servere dedicated | VPS Romania' sounds good right? Allright lets check the prizes... First one is 1.45 EUR! Thats freaking cheap and exactly the prize you said but...this isn't a VPS. If you look above it, it says clearly 'Hosting Web' which refers to website hosting

If you want a good VPS try to buy/rent one in the Netherlands, there are the best ones. eLeMenT is going to move their servers to the Netherlands soon to because its the best!

There are websites and you just order it It would cost around 7-10 EUR per month which is a lot if you dont work yet

When you play ctf minsta in TBC server and you kill a player, he leaves a life bonus, if I remember correctly, of +50, and you can take it.

Yes, but can you change gun to jump and than change gun to fire??? Me not...

Uhm, so the trick would be put the granade launcher between guns.... Bah, ok.

I can change that quick yes

Well this is a RM feature so with classic nexuiz this isn't possible. If you don't care about using RM then this is possible.

It might be possible to add the normal grenades from CRA if you use RM. Cicho uses them to on their ctf server

But Carontes keep in mind this is all useless to make if you guys can't host it. So maybe try to see f its possible first, then we can talk about possibilities.

A VPS is a virtual private server Pretty much where you host your nexuiz server from.

Avallac'h you might need to read my posts as well before starting this. If they can't effort a VPS the time put into this is useless. I've created a few servers now and worked with clans for them. AxG for example couldn't effort a VPS at some point either and the time the serveradmins put into making a new server never payd off because it never got used. Keep that in mind before you start going all crazy on this because as for now bfire can't effort a VPS and i don't see any of these guys get a job any time soon since they are still rather young.

We could pay the prize in three, so it will be lower for Slaughter and we will have the server...

If you guys can sort that out thats up to you but i dissagree with starting to make a server allready before money things get solved first. Money is ultra important when wanting a clanserver and its the thing that causes either to have a server or not. If you guys can split the money every month good thats up to you guys i'm just giving my opinion based on my experiences
